2025 NATO of Michigan Scholarship Awardee

Julia Helferty has been a dedicated Floor Cast Member at MJR Theatres for the past two years, where she plays an integral role in delivering an exceptional moviegoing experience. Her passion for cinema, digital media, and the art of storytelling has made her a natural fit in the theater environment. From assisting guests to maintaining a clean and welcoming space, Julia takes pride in the details that create memorable experiences for every visitor.

She is currently enrolled in the Media and Communication Arts program at Macomb Community College, focusing on Video Production. Her interest in filmmaking began in high school through a TV and Broadcasting Media class—her first hands-on introduction to the world of film production. That early experience inspired a growing passion and a clear career goal in film production and editing.

Through her work at MJR, Julia has come to appreciate the value of client satisfaction, time management, and the importance of taking care of the little things that contribute to success. She is grateful to MJR Theatres for their ongoing support and for providing opportunities that have helped her grow both personally and professionally.
